Well... last night was the opening night of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in the cinema here in the UK and I was fortunate enough to have booked tickets for this night several weeks ago on the first day of general sale.

It was a long day! First waking up at 4.30am to start work at 6am. I finished work early so I could watch my son's nativity play at his school at 2pm followed by a trip on the bus to Sherwood with my 4 cats to get checked over, to then bring them back on the bus again, to turn around and head back into town on the bus to head for the cinema (damn, I'm tired just reading this back).

As soon as we got into town we had around half an hour spare so we decided to head to Subway first - this was my first time there in years and we both decided it was much better than the likes of Burger King or Macky D's, by far... We ate these just outside the place where no other than the legend Darth Vader and 2 of his knights in shiny white armour were outside Subway taking pictures with fans (I had to, hahaha.. see picture below).

The movie overall was very good, as expected... but nowhere near as good as the previous movie (Star Wars: The Force Awakens). I won't go into any details of the movie as a lot of you haven't watched it yet, and the last thing you want is spoilers... but I will say is that Felicity Jones who plays Jyn (and also Jane Hawking in The Theory of Everything) is hot :) ... so the movie was good, the company was good, the food was good, and we met Darth Vader! a very good night all in all.

Next movie to watch at the cinema? Not sure to be fair, but I will definitely be off to watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 next May.

After the movie finished around 11.10pm we headed for the last bus leaving at 11.30 and was gone midnight before we got home - wow, I was ready for my bed by this time, so there I went.
